Main duties:
- Coast-Down Test on test track and roller
- Drags investigation
- Energy Consumption measurements
- Fuel consumption
- Vehicle performance (standing start acceleration, passing by acceleration)
- Grade-ability

Technical responsibilities:
1. Vehicle drags breakdown investigation and measurements.
2. Vehicle coast-down on road and dyno.
3. Main vehicle performance assessment.
4. Fuel consumption studies.
5. Standard report output for testing/measurements.
6. Support energy consumption related measurements.

Management responsibilities:
- Participate and coordinate cross-departmental and multidisciplinary teams to fulfill the project objectives.
- Support at customer facility, IDIADA’s premises and/or proving ground / test labs during the project to understand needs and foresee future actions + perform testing.
- Ensure the correct execution of the technical tasks and project’s activities assigned under the Quality standards defined by the Organization
- Control and supervise the resources (facilities, materials,…) needed to carry out correctly the activities involved in the projects and report to the Powertrain Manager possible risks.

Requirements:
Profile
- Previous experience in the field of Powertrain and Vehicle Performance is mandatory.
- +1 year experience in vehicle/powertrain performance performing coast down in both: proving ground and rolling bench, vehicle drag investigation, vehicle performance assessment, fuel consumption and emissions studies and energy consumption and management.
- Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way.
- With skills for taking independent initiative and exhibiting creative problem-solving.
- With eagerness to learn and showing always team-work attitude.
- Capable of co-working with relative teams to optimally use available resources.
- With high computer skills
- MATLAB Simulink & NI Diadem skills will be valued.

Education
- Engineering Degree in Mechanics, Mechatronics, Automotive, Energy.

Languages
- Fluent English is a must.
- Other languages, especially Spanish will be also valued.
