Role & Opportunity:
The Surface development team is seeking qualified candidates to design develop and integrate displays by closely working with external display partners and internal engineering teams to deliver the best experience to our customers. In this role based in China, you will assist and drive supplier and technology selection, help define display specification, and work with internal and external display partners from start to manufacturing. You will closely collaborate and partner with Tier1, Tier2 development partners and monitor development cycle, root cause and troubleshoot issues and ensure MP readiness.
You will be responsible for the following –
?Assist US based teams with design, development and MP of next generation display technology.
?Supplier technology assessment, RFQ follow up, design and development from EV/DV to MP.
?Assess LCD, OLED, In-cell touch technologies, Component and system, sub-system process readiness for Mass production.
?Closely collaborate and partner with touch display development partners in driving new technology, material, and product development.
?Closely work with touch display development partners in root cause analysis, yield enhancement and process improvement
?Support/drive root cause analysis by using fish bone diagram. Provide direction, Design of Experiments (DOE), plan to teams.
?Support/drive development milestone touch, display integration, sub-system and system assembly, in-cell touch FPC- ACF, Chip On Flex - interconnects, Optical bonding.
?Define, develop & update specifications, Critical to Quality (CTQ) process, DFMEA, PFMEA, fish bone diagram for root cause analysis.
?Support manufacturing team to enable seamless transition from EV/DV to MP.
Qualification summary -
?BS, MS with 5+ years’ hands on experience in display design, development, process and MP
?e2e product development cycle with successful high volume product launches
?Diverse background in electrical, mechanical engineering, Touch panels, display integration.
?Must be able to handle multiple projects, programs and tactical and strategic development efforts
?Detail oriented, excellent analytical skills, hands on problem solving skills.
?Strong experience in –
oProcess development (green belt, CpK), characterization, failure analysis, materials characterization.
oLCM Panel manufacturing processes (Oxide, LTPS, a-Si, in-cell touch), Backlight component manufacturing and BLU assembly
oQuality and reliability, product testing, product quality, driving Root cause/Corrective actions.
oDesign of Experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis for optimizing process.
oOLED design, process, DFMEA.
?Excellent written, oral communication skills to align with development, operations and partner teams.
?Preferred location is in Suzhou-China to support development efforts.
